Description of File Types
The files available on our Forms page are available in various software files with symbols on the buttons representing the type of file. Click here if you have trouble downloading. You may also call your Budget Analyst or send an e-mail to budget@state.wv.us.

	Microsoft Excel for Windows (.xls). These spreadsheet files can be opened using Microsoft Excel 97 or later.
	Corel WordPerfect (.wpd). These files can be opened using Corel WordPerfect 6 or later. The documents may display with minor differences on your computer depending upon your printer and fonts.
	Microsoft Word XP for Windows (.doc). These files can be opened using Microsoft Word Office 97 or later. The documents may display with minor differences on your computer depending upon your fonts and printer.
	Adobe Acrobat (PDF) Format. PDF has become a standard for publishing documents on the Web. To view them, you must have Acrobat Reader 5.0 or later. You may download a free reader and directions from: www.adobe.com. PDF forms can be printed, but must be completed by hand.

Help with Downloading Files

If you click on one of the buttons to the left of any form listed on the Forms page, your Internet browser software should either (1) initiate a download and ask where to save the file or (2) open the file directly within your browser software where you can then select File/Save from the drop down menus. Either option allows you to save the file to your local computer system.

If your browser software does not properly do this, most will allow you to download the item using the right mouse button. In Internet Explorer, you can right click on the button and select "Save Target As" from the pop up menu. In Firefox, you can right click on the button and select "Save Image As." In Netscape, you can right click on the button and select "Save Link As."

(If you are asked to provide a password during this process, it may be due to the configuration of your browser software or network. Upon request, we will send you the file either by e-mail or on diskette.)
